“A Christmas Carol: English-Spanish Dual Language Edition” is an inspired edition of this timeless classic.
Charles Dickens is probably my favorite author, and I’ve likely read “A Christmas Carol” a thousand times, but I love the idea of enjoying it in two languages simultaneously. Granted, I can’t speak to the accuracy of the translation, but this is great fun (and, I would think, a fantastic way to advance your knowledge of either Spanish or English. Dickens has been said to have written “cinematically” long before the advent of cinema, so the richness of this tale offers so much opportunity to explore the story in a whole new light. I can imagine a dual-language reading of the tale over Christmas! Thank you, translator John Loehr!

I love this story, time and time and time again, but now that I get to read it in Spanish it just makes it all the more exciting for me. I adore the Spanish language, and to be able to read classic English literature in Spanish is a real boon for me. And once more I am grateful to John Loehr for taking the time to do this for us Spanish and English readers. It is important work and I find myself once more being grateful for his gift to us and his amazing talent.
