Grimm’s Fairy Tales Volume II, presented in a dual language English-Spanish edition, is an enchanting collection that transcends time and culture. The tales, ranging from the familiar “Cinderella” and “Little Red Riding Hood” to the less known “The Three Snake-Leaves” and “The White Snake,” are skillfully translated, maintaining their original charm and depth. Each story, with its unique blend of morality, darkness, and fantasy, speaks volumes about human nature and societal norms. This bilingual presentation not only makes the tales accessible to a wider audience but also serves as an excellent tool for language learners. The stories, though centuries old, still resonate with readers of all ages, making this volume a must-have for enthusiasts of classic literature and folklore. The tales, with their underlying themes of bravery, wisdom, and the triumph of good over evil, are not just entertaining but also impart valuable life lessons. This edition, with its side-by-side translation, brings a fresh perspective to these age-old stories, proving that the magic of the Grimm brothers’ storytelling continues to captivate and inspire.

We wanted this book because of its unique layout and classic fairy tales. The book is setup with the english langauge on the left-hand side and the spanish translation on the other. This is perfect for our kids who are learning spanish. This has been very helpful to them as they try to learn spanish, improve their spanish and learn new words. The ability to look and compare what’s been talked about is SUCH an easy format is a must have for anybody wanting to improve their spanish language reading and comprehension skills!

I am leaving the same review for all three of these books of Grimms’s Fairy Tales as I felt the same way about all three of them. This is the second volume. I have been grateful to have had the opportunity to read these books. They are fantastic to read in their original forms and not edited to make them more palatable for kids or Disney! I found the translation very helpful and well thought out. Read all three of these books. I can assure you that you will not be disappointed but happy and satisfied that you got the opportunity to read all these stories in Spanish! These were totally worth my time.

Another great collection of dual language Grimm Brothers fairy tales. I have both volumes and enjoy comparing the side-by-side English and Spanish versions, learning the nuances of the languages and familiarizing myself with the Spanish words and punctuations. This collection features a couple of familiar stories like Cinderella and Little Red Riding Hood along with many lesser known ones. Highly recommended for anyone who is trying to learn Spanish.
