Mariela –
As a Spanish teacher I highly recommend this book format! It allows to contrast the two languages easily.
Since we all know the stories is easier to learn vocabulary by the context, in a natural way.
The language is not simplified, which makes it challenging enough to improve comprehension and vocabulary but is easy to check the English side when there is any doubt.

I am leaving the mostly same review for all three of these books of Grimms’s Fairy Tales as I felt the same way about all three of them. I have been grateful to have had the opportunity to read these books. They are fantastic to read in their original forms and not edited to make them more palatable for kids or Disney! I found the translation very helpful and well thought out. Read all three of these books. I can assure you that you will not be disappointed but happy and satisfied that you got the opportunity to read all these stories in Spanish! These were totally worth my time.

Grimms’ Fairy Tales: English-Spanish Dual Language Edition: Volume 3 is a delightfully translated book. I can only speak the English version, but I enjoy the English language. The clearly written stories were easy to follow and riveting. Right away, “The Girl With No Hands” takes you into the old world of Kings, Queens, and a devious devil. It is great for early readers or anyone who enjoys great short stories.

This book, adorned with a compelling foreword, proved to be a linguistic gem. Originally penned by the Grimm brothers in 1812, this collection holds a revered place in Western culture, inspiring various art forms. Thoughtfully curated with side-by-side translations, it caters to language learners, especially those delving into Spanish.
Delving into the darker nuances of the original tales, this volume offers linguistic immersion, an invaluable resource for a Spanish language journey. The dual-language format facilitates a seamless transition, allowing absorption of vocabulary, grammar, and concepts with each turn of the page.
Reflecting on my college days as someone majoring in Spanish, I recognized the missed opportunity for a resource like this. Traditional Spanish courses often paled in comparison to the efficacy of reading a dual-format like this. The engaging stories in this book would have made all the difference in my Spanish learning journey.

This is the third volume of the series and included several less-known fairy tales…many I had never read before. The way it is organized it is a great way to improve your Spanish language skills. As with the other books, the translations from English to Spanish are set side-by-side making for easy reference. Well done!

“Grimms’ Fairy Tales: English-Spanish Dual Language Edition” is an enchanting literary masterpiece that brings the timeless stories of the Brothers Grimm to life in a captivating bilingual format. This dual-language edition is a treasure trove for both language learners and fairy tale enthusiasts. I love that the English is parallel to the Spanish. What a cool idea!
